Beyond Environmental Arts Festival – School Recruitment

2022 marks the first year of our new Beyond Environmental Arts Festival. We are now recruiting primary and secondary schools to participate in artist-in-residence programmes as a way to raise students’ awareness of environmental issues and inspire them to take action to protect our planet!

The Beyond Environmental Arts Festival is a three-year project organised by Hong Kong Youth Arts Foundation and sponsored by the Bank of East Asia. Designed to promote environmental awareness among local youngsters, it offers a series of creative visual arts and performing arts activities, including artist-in-residence programmes, green voluntary activities, commissioned artworks and original theatre production.

This year the project spotlights waste reduction and the need to conserve natural resources in our day-to-day lives. Through art creation, we hope to inspire participants and the public to contribute to protecting the environment through the 3R initiative: Reduce, Reuse, Recycle. Resulting student work will be showcased in public exhibitions and performances in a week-long festival in July.

This December sees the launch of our new programme Fuse – a community arts project designed to empower young individuals from low-income families and ethnic minority backgrounds and nurture their creative potential.
